Europe’s largest digital marketing conference returned to Hamburg once again, and opago was right there in the middle of it. Despite the typically grey North German weather that greeted us at the gates, with some sun in between, OMR26 delivered exactly what we came for: energy, inspiration, and meaningful conversations with the people shaping the digital economy.
Back in the Young Innovators Area
For the second year running, opago held its place in the Young Innovators Area and the buzz around our booth didn’t disappoint. We reconnected with familiar faces from the industry while welcoming plenty of new ones, a reminder of how much the conversation around crypto payments has grown in just twelve months. Visitors from payments, retail and e-commerce stopped by to explore where payment technology is heading next.

Industry Connections at Finance Forward Breakfast
The conference also brought valuable moments off the main floor. Our CEO Michael Dülk joined the Finance Forward breakfast on the first day of the conference, a great opportunity to connect with fellow industry leaders in a more intimate setting. And with major payment and banking players like Mollie, and Shopify and Unzer also present at OMR26, it was clear that payments remain one of the hottest topics on the conference agenda.
Guided Tour: Agentic Commerce — Opportunities and Risks
The highlight of our OMR presence was once again the guided tour led by our CTO, Michael Fischer. This year’s tour, titled “Agentic Commerce — Opportunities and Risks”, took attendees beyond the mechanics of Bitcoin payments and into the emerging world of autonomous, AI-driven commerce. As agentic systems begin to handle transactions independently, the questions of trust, risk, and infrastructure become more urgent than ever, and opago is building the answers.

Inspiration Beyond the Booth
OMR has always offered more than product showcases, and this year was no exception. Talks from figures like Tom Brady and OpenAI’s Nick Turley drew a clear line between ambition, execution, and what it takes to build at scale, a perspective that resonates deeply with us. Whether it’s the discipline required to compete at the highest level in sport or the relentless focus needed to build a category-defining company, the parallels are hard to ignore. It’s exactly the kind of thinking that drives how we approach innovation at opago.
Looking Ahead
OMR26 reinforced what we already believe: the market is moving fast, and the infrastructure for the next era of digital commerce needs to be ready. From agentic systems to digital assets, opago continues to build the payment rails that merchants, PSPs, and developers will rely on. We left Hamburg energized and already looking forward to what comes next.
